Burleigh Mead is a Welcoming B&B in Keswick, the Lake District.

The Burleigh Suite is the former drawing room on the first floor and has unsurpassed panoramic views to the south, taking in Walla Crag, the Borrowdale valley as far as the eye can see, Cat Bells, Maiden Moor and all the way round to Grisdale Pike.

This elegantly decorated studio suite is comfortable furnished with seating around the original slate fireplace for relaxing and watching television. Easy chairs placed in the bay window makes ‘watching the world go by’ an enjoyable pastime. A king size bed and large en-suite with walk-in shower complete the room.

All rooms have flat screen televisions with Freeview, complimentary beverage tray, clock/radio and hairdryer. Easy chairs are provided for your comfort whilst relaxing in the room.

Our refurbishment programme included renewing all our beds and we now have quality firm but comfortable Sealy beds. Crisp white sheets and goose down duvets are a winning combination for a good nights sleep.

The en-suites, again all refurbished, are uniquely designed and have a fresh, modern, contemporary feel. A range of luxury toiletries with natural plant extracts are provided.

Outdoor activities of every sort are available in and around Keswick – ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing and sailing to name a few. For those looking for a more sedate activity play a round of golf at Keswick Golf Club or Pitch & Put in Hope Park. Fishing is available but an Environment Agency fishing rod licence is required to fish in all rivers, lakes and tarns; local byelaws must be observed and a permit is usually required.
